Helllllllllooooooo! I feel so behind here on Chictopia. School is back in session and I’ve been crazily busy. Twenty-four hours is not enough time for me in a day to get everything done. And yes, my hair is a different color. I decided to go light for the new year but not sure how long this will last.

Oh and I was excited to see that there was the Forever Sweetheart Contest. Mostly, because I am addicted to Forever21 and I basically memorize their whole online inventory (yes, obsessive compulsive disorder). Second, Valentine’s Day brings a bright smile to my face every year. The reason for this is that years ago, it was on Valentine’s Day that my [now] husband asked me to be his Valentine (girlfriend). It was at that same moment that I heard the words, “I love you,” from him for the very first time. Now years later, we are married and couldn’t be any happier. I love my hubby snookums. Sorry for all the lovey dovey post. Valentine’s Day take me to memory lane :)

Basically, I forgot about the New Year’s countdown last night but that’s okay. I am going to visit my family today; looking forward to my mother’s amazing dishes. Happy New Years everyone!

My mother is a really simple woman. She likes clothes that are comfortable and she adores prints. She’s not the type that you would see wearing jeans or tennis shoes (it makes her self-conscious). I never noticed this before but my mother has great style. It’s different and at times, it’s vintage. I decided earlier this week to go through her closet and see what I am inspired by. I was amazed to find all these blazers! They range from black, navy blue, to beige with great stitching. I haven’t had a chance to tell her how jealous I am of all her blazers; she would be really surprised since our styles are complete opposite.

I “stole” this blazer from her closet. It’s been returned to it’s original spot though, so no worries. :)

I’ve been fasting since midnight. Time to go get my blood drawn and stuff myself with a delicious meal.

I went to the grocery today to pick up some chicken noodle soup & orange juice. They are for my sick fiance :(

I am wearing a black & gray striped shirt + black leggings: all from Forever21. The funny thing is, I wasn’t very fond of this shirt when my mother gave it to me. But now, it’s one of my favorite items.
