




Well, I’ve always hated to be like anyone else. Even when I was young, my aunt wanted to buy me Harry Potter and I didn’t want it because everyone else was reading it. This was so with fashion. When all the other little 12 year old girls loved American Eagle and Nellie, I loved Avril Lavigne and anything mod or 60’s inspired or punk rock. That never really left me.
Music has always been a big part of my life and constantly finds it’s way into fashion. I would look up David Bowie and Sid Vicious and Debra Harry and Grace Slick to find their styles and what they were wearing. I even tried having Debbie’s awesome big hair, only brown. It didn’t work out so well. So, the year before Victoria Beckham dawned the angle bob, I was all over it, because it was such a mod and 60’s look.
When I was 14 all I wanted were a pair of Peter Pan getaway boots and I found an awesome red pair on eBay. I kind of became known for those boots. About 6 months later, I found a black pair at the gap. Someonehow, I’ve always predicted what was to come back in style without actually predicting.
My style is influenced by Edie Sedgwick, who is my hero, Audrey Hepburn, Alice in Wonderland and the Victorian era, punk rock, mod, 80’s hair bands and even a little bit of gothic influence creeps in with my love of lace. As long as it’s something no-one else I know will have, it will be mine.
