Winter Coat #2   Add as Favorite Photo

That’s the Disney Concert Hall in the background, though you can barely make it out.

I missed LA. The MOCA has an excellent museum store… Great selection of magazines and they still had some Murakami stuff from their past exhibit (which was totally awesome). I wanted a stuffed goblin doll thing, but it was a bit overpriced at $60 (for something about a foot tall). It felt so nice in my hands though. All stuffed toys should be so well made.

Winter Coat #1   Add as Favorite Photo

Got this as a Christmas gift from my mom when I went down to LA. It was surprisingly cold there! My boyfriend scowled at me every time he felt cold because I told him So-Cal would be pleasant. I blame global warming for an unusually warm Bay Area December, and a frighteningly cold December LA.

I felt like a checkerboard wearing this coat. Or, as my friend astutely pointed out, a Ba-Duk board! (Chinese/Korean strategy board game with black and white marbles… I don’t play, so that’s all I know about it)

I have lint allllllll over my sweater dress. And some crumbs. How do you keep tiny dusty particles off of your knit blacks without carrying around a lint roller in your purse? Maybe that’s just what I need to do…

Coat #2 coming later today ;)

The last photo was taken another day at the LACMA. Frolicking inside of one of RIchard Serra’s installations. No photography allowed. Woops~

how to wear this scarf?   Add as Favorite Photo

I thought I’d give this scarf I knit a fairly mild debut. I’ll be looking for more inventive outfits for it. Any suggestions?

I also am totally inexplicably impossibly obsessed with Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. Honestly, I don’t care for the books, even though I somehow sped through all 4.5 (including Meyer’s half draft of Midnight Sun) within the week following the weekend I watched the movie. So I bought the Edward Cullen stand up cutout from Allposters.com a few days ago. I checked the site yesterday and they’ve all sold out. I hope my order doesn’t get cancelled!

Yeah, the Twilight bug bit me… bad….

reworking the belt   Add as Favorite Photo

This is the belt that came with the coat… and I decided I needed a little more structure around the neck to hold in this massive hood… so voila!

I didn’t realize at the time how much I was pointing my toes inward. Woops.

Also wearing my brother’s shirt. Haha, I want to buy him more clothes that I can later steal, just to confuse him about fashion and gender.

And check out my $2 leather shoes!

And I was not appropriately dressed.

I got bangs but my hair still spills everywhere at the shoulders, even after straightening. ARGH!

Um, WOW. I just checked my inbox and found that I had all these comments… This is a first for me. Chictopia’s definitely helping my style… :D I didn’t want to overdo it and reply to each and every comment, so thanks everyone! You just made my day!

To Peeptoe or Not To Peeptoe   Add as Favorite Photo

Well, I’ve been considering getting these Jeffrey Campbell booties from Revolve for a while now… but my size is gone, so I guess it’s a relief that I don’t have to think about them anymore.

I couldn’t make a decision because it seemed like an overload of trendiness all in one boot. Buckles, platforms, peeptoe, bootie. Chic? Monster? Chic monster? What’s your take on the random distilled versions of the runway’s peeptoe boot? I like the idea of being able to show off a pedicure even during a very cold winter’s day. My toes are always numb anyways.

Wish I could have tried these on. I feel that I probably would’ve ended up buying them.

POLL: Would you buy these?
