monday’s outfit. you can see my rain boots peeking into the bottom left corner of the photo! i miss the warmth of summer, but i will admit that i love the easy comfort of layering that fall allows.

tonight we went to our second and final halloween party and i was a freudian slip. :) thanks for the idea connie!

happy halloween everybody! my husband and i went to our first round of halloween parties tonight and will be doing it again tomorrow! i went as blair waldorf and he went as “the old man and the c (sea)” and carried a wooden letter “c” around all night with his walker and old man pajamas. ha! he’s awesome.

i had been looking at vintage izod cardigans on ebay for a couple of months when i stumbled across this one at goodwill for a fifth of the price. sweet. i’m also rocking my barack obama button today! i’ve already voted, have you?

modays last forever. i have two seminars on mondays and am so completely drained by the time i come home that i don’t even really feel like talking anymore.

leggings+dress+cardigan+scarf+boots = done!
so comfy, so warm, and so freaking easy to put on in the mornings when i feel (and look) totally drugged.
when i was in undergrad i used to plan out my outfits the night before. someday i hope to get back to that kind of organization, but now my “dressing room” (read: office with open closet and piles of clothes and shoes all over the floor) is a disaster and getting dressed is kind of like a frustrating treasure hunt.

today it was really rainy and gross outside and i almost busted my butt because of the slippery soles of these boots TWICE. and the thing that kills me is that just yesterday, freaking yesterday, i bought and put on little sticker treads to avoid this kind of event. but nooo. thankfully, my cat-like reflexes (okay, okay, and the supportive arm-grabs and cackles of friends) prevented me from actually busting it.
