Meet my new (used) leather backpack. A friend of mine has been using it for years and years and didn’t want it anymore, so he pawned it off on me. It’s fantastic! One of the straps is broken so I’m heading to the shoe repair shop later today to get it fixed.

My mom has this friend who moved here from Greece. Apparently the lady has her own little vineyard and makes her very own wine! I think that’s incredible. Anyway, she gave us a bottle as a gift and it’s been sitting in our pantry for days and days so my mom and I decided to open it up last night, seeing as how my dad was at a sleepover party with a few friends of his. Writing this makes me realize how cute my family is.

Oh, and even better, the night was finally chilly enough to put our fireplace to some good use.

What do you think about these bad boys? I found them at a thrift store today and figured that popping prescription lenses into $5.00 frames would simultaneously save me a ton of money and look better than the standard things you’d find at a Lenscrafters.

I admit that I’m not the most stylish girl on the block but hey, I’m interested in fashion and this is the best way to learn.

My style is simple and usually consists of tapered jeans, something black or white on top, and strappy sandals. I’m always afraid of going over the top, which might be the reason why I stay so simple, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to do more over time.

I’m joining Chictopia because I really have no idea if some of the things I wear actually work. It would the best if you could comment and let me know if what I have on looks chic or not!
