I spent last week in one of my favorite cities in the world – Quebec City. I had a wonderful time walking down some of the oldest streets in North America, speaking French, having croissants & hot cocoa for breakfast, etc.! I bought lots of things there and I’m wearing two of them in the picture. One is the black dress from the wonderful Simons, the other is my new & beloved umbrella. It says “Merde, il pleut” (shit, it’s raining). :D

I wore this today to frantically run around to three banks trying to exchange some American money for Canadian, because I’m going to Canada on Monday (yay). Apparently the majority of banks around here do not do this exchange because I was only successful at bank #3, and I got there ten minutes before it was going to close. At that time I looked considerably more worried than I do in this picture.

Lately I’ve wanted to try to make my usual skirts+heels style a bit more interesting. And so, the decision to add a studded belt to this girly outfit. Also I finally found something I’ve been wanting for a while – the perfect black skirt. I got this one at H&M. High-waisted, with lots of volume, and also there are two rows of buttons up the front and BELT LOOPS. Yayy. (Do I get too excited about clothes? hmm..,)

fall in summer Add as Favorite Photo

Today it was cold and grey outside. I said quite seriously that I had to go out to take advantage of the nice weather. Hence what seems to me to be a more-autumn-than-summer outfit. (I longed to wear tights and knee-high boots, but I think that may have been a bit much even on a cold summer day…)
