my election day outfit! it was unusually warm… during the day i wore my black & white suede oxfords and bare legs, but changed into fishnets and booties for a friend’s bday dinner.

i’ve had this flapper dress since the summer, and finally decided to wear it since i didn’t have any other ideas for halloween. surprisingly, i didn’t have to buy anything for this costume! (though a headband and cigarette holder would’ve been perfect… and maybe an outrageous fur…)

i actually wore this to work with a long black cardigan buttoned over it, and a trenchcoat over that, minus the gloves. i could probably get away with wearing that on any other day as well.

i haven’t had my hair this short in a while! i’m very pleased – most hairstylists i’ve been to are afraid of cutting off too much… but i figure it’ll always grow back in a couple months!

i was in a random bakery in chinatown, kiling time with a friend before we could check out apotheke. (got the absinthe and it was goooood… but pricey. ouch.)
