the men had planned to take us ladies out for thai in harvard square, but the place was closing as we got there (9:30… seriously, closing at 10?) so we went to the border cafe instead. slight change of plans. i love margheritas…

new coat :) i actually removed the built-in wool scarf thing and put a pashmina in its place. also, you can’t see my sweater dress, but it fits like a dream. and i had to wear black flats instead, or i felt i’d be overdressed. turns out i was right!! what a lovely night

that i am currently in the apex of my dominatrix/badass phase.

first of all, please excuse the running socks! i found a pair of marc by marcs for $100 in a pile at filene’s basement on newbury :D i don’t care if they’re seasons old, they’re hot. and i wore them to class today (with a black satin dressie and some black stockings), then had to run to a bus in them; they make me a grand height of 6’2”! i must have looked like Seabiscuit (except the wrong color)!

including my amazing brazilian boyfriend. but that will require a separate post because he’s so well dressed/delicious.

this dress was $15 and had horrible straps, but they were easy to remove. the fabric feels simple and airy, but therein lies the problem with the material… it’s so easily-wrinkled, i could never wear it in a sitting situation! pet peeve if i do so myself.

i figured that if i was going to wear a pirate-esque shirt, i might as well wear the shorts with a ship on them. thank goodness it turned out okay!

the only problem is that i was completely looking forward to wearing this to work until the shorts were decidedly like, three inches too short to do so. $#&*@!!

the epitome of airy and comfortable. yummmm.

however, the dress is a medium and i probably should have gotten a small, but there weren’t any :(. i guess belting is the permanent solution because i really don’t feel like having this dress altered.
