my funnel neck dress fiiiiinally arrived from aa after an eternity of being backordered. fortunately, i am in love with it. i don’t think i have enough basic pieces in my wardrobe – i love bright, splashy things, but they often can’t be mix-and-matched very easily. i should start focusing on building up the basics in my wardrobe :)

i’ve been in physical therapy almost constantly and my legs hurt like a bitch all the time, so comfortable shoes are a must. these steve madden boots make my life!

hello everyone! this is basically just me playing around with my new skirt that i just finished. i love how it turned out and i am really excited to have actually sewn something wearable! i’m even more excited to make more stuff ;p

i wore this… yesterday, i think? i was kind of worried about busting out this aa dress for the first time because it is seriously skanky, but i wore it nonetheless. i thought the vest would have a really cool effect against the open back and i think it turned out well – several people actually commented that it looked straight out of alexander wang s/s 09, which i completely didn’t think of. but looking back, the patterns are actually quite similar, so yayay ;p

i am latching onto every single moment of fall weather. i was in the city today and took advantage of its coldness to bust out my new-ish jacket which had not yet made its debut because it’s been too damn hot. the rest of the outfit is kind of bland and dull and i wish i’d done more with it so i think i’ll be playing around with this jacket a lot more in the future. it’s really cute : )

playing around with my joie shirt on a lazy day. it’s so billowy that it works well half tucked or loose or totally tucked in and i like thinking of different ways to make it work.

the boxes are because of a mass cleanout of my house’s enormous amounts of crap. they will probably be there forever because that’s what happens in my household ;p
