I decided to go all waspy and preppy today but with the twist – tiny tiny shorts. Good choice to wear flats since i spent the entire day attacking all the sales. Lots of new stuff I can blog about soon. Exciting!

I’m such an irresponsible chictopian recently. it’s the christmas season and the erratic schedules and I never have time to take proper photos. I took this one when I got home this morning. I was so tired but I liked this outfit too much to let it go by without a chictopia entry.
All my friends from around the world are finally here and it was our first weekend night out. Wow, was it an effing blast! Britney, is always so spot on with her lyrics. I am so glad the bitch is back. We were a fucking circus last night. Most definitely.
I really enjoyed this outfit and the night that came with it. It had all the perfect elements — decadence, debauchery, drama, and devotion.

I don’t even know how to explain how happy I am it’s christmas and that all my best friends are back from their respective spots around the world.
There is just so much to be thankful for.
Happy Holidays everyone! xx
What would you think if I sang out of tune
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song
And I’ll try not to sing out of key
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm going to try with a little help from my friends
What do I do when my love is away?
(Does it worry you to be alone?)
How do I feel by the end of the day?
(Are you sad because you’re on your own?)
No I get by with a little help from my friends

These shoes of mine will officially be my holiday pair. They are so comfy and i just thinking they are absolutely gorgeous.
This day was so hectic. I had a 10am physics final, a presentation for another class, and a meeting for the last one. I didn’t even have time to go home and fix up properly…. good thing I planned this outfit in my head the night before, stuck in a bag in the morning, and just brought it as extra.
I had to help a friend of mine direct a fashion show.. we rushed to the venue right after school and just stayed there till after the show cuz it was at a club anyway. It was a huge success. Congratulations to P&P Tattoo for their newly launched t-shirt line! after all the tedious stuff was taken care of like, styling and run throughs, I changed into this outfit.
I’ve never really worn fedoras before because i have a huge head and therefore, none of them fit me just right. my friend brought one for the show and no one ended up using it… so i got so tempted and it fit! i had to wear it an angle which i liked cuz it really compliments my hair, i think. It was the perfect umph to my casual outfit. like the outfit, my night was so fun without event trying.

EDIT- highly inspired by the movie almost famous but the bus scene in particular — the part they were all singing to elton john’s tiny dancer. this outfit made me feel a little like a, bandaid, as they called it in the film. :)
most definitely partied like I was one! legendary night!

Fashion is the perfect way to express yourself.
This has been an insane weekend for me. It’s weird how the way I dress naturally finds its way to be a commentary on what’s actually going on in my life. Friday night, I wore a simple sweater dress and hella complicated it with lots of accessories (it was pretty though. no photo. too bad) and was very telling of the events that transpired that night : simple with complicated details.
The next day, I was feeling both relieved and shitty at the same time. I put on this long sleeves batwing off-shoulder tshirt material top with a black skirt. It was very simplistic but it did the trick and it allowed me to finally wear my new shoes out. I(from solea) i love them so much. Also, I’ve been wearing this chain strap multi-colored aranaz bag a lot. I got this ages back when Aranaz was only available in christmas bazaars! go local, go pinoy!
Instantly, I felt good about this night. Had dinner with a friend at Cibo and then headed to Fiamma and celebrated one of my best friends’ birthday, Bianca. She’s bianx here on Chictopia. I hope she posts her outfit during her party cuz it was so fab.
So, truly, what I wear is who I am and what I feel. But also the best thing about all this, is you can make it set the mood. This outfit reminded me that simple doesn’t mean boring nor safe. There is so much beauty in simplicity.
Yet again, Coco Chanel has said it right, " “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
Check out my multi-colored purse and my super cute new shoes. :) They make me feel the holiday spirit. haha. Too bad my purse has been murdered with jaeger shot stains which murdered my sanity too.
