welcome the new marc by marc jacobs bag.

throwback to the 60’s. this f21 dress is surprisingly flattering and the print isn’t cheesy. usually they do something wrong like put an unfortunate satin strip across the waist of a dress like this, but luckily in this case there’s just a simple black belt.

to rumi, lulu, and everyone else who owns these shoes- i have to say that they may as well be a staple. with black socks in the winter they will become a dramatic boot. and comfortable i have to admit!

my photos are really poor quality and i feel like in order to be well-received in the blogosphere this needs to change. we’ll see if this can happen in the near future with possibly some better lighting.

what you can’t see about my outfit in this picture is that the belt is black leather with gold pyramid studs. clearly inspired by carrie bradshaw. the jeans are acid washed and probably the most comfortable jeans i own (they’re old and from urban, lux brand).

i wore this outfit to my friends house to do laundry. i then fell asleep in her bed while waiting for the laundry to finish. woke up, went home, ate a cupcake, downloaded music from hypemachine and finally went to sleep.

my life is boring.

in other news, bought the heech sandals. on sale at macy’s. i stand a good 6’2" in these bad boys.

this belt has become pretty standard in many recent outfits. i thought i hated “waist” belts because i just have this image of sorority girls in skin tight leotard dresses with thick patent leather belts circa winter 2006-2007. but most of my clothing, vintage especially, sits high on my waist and sometimes accenting that area is nice.
