I was at Melrose Ave a couple of months ago and saw this Balmain-esque red animal print tank that for some reason I decided not to buy at that time. Since then, I’ve been obsessed about it, having pangs of regret for not making the purchase. On my way back to Manila, I made a vow, “I shall return”.
And so today, as I entered the store, I held my breath and across the room my eyes immediately darted to the very same glorious top I saw two months ago. As I walked closer I realized that there was only one left in my size. I murmur to myself, “It was meant to be.”
And with that, I found a precious faux fur stole to wear with my already-animal styled ensemble. Excited from my purchase, I had my photo taken at the store, and the Japanese owner was kind enough to do so. Arigato!

My quest to find a black bowler hat finally came to an end yesterday when I made a trek to Huntington Beach.
As I indulged in my senses with the tastes and smells of roasted almonds, organic fresh fruits and freshly baked goodies, I chanced upon a hat stall owned by a real-life female Mad Hatter, except she was kind enough to give me a slight discount. Okay, so I just got 2 dollars off, but who doesn’t love the feeling of getting a bargain?
New bf teased me that I should grow a mustache and buy a cane to match. Hey, Charlie Chaplin had good style.

...over & over!
Who remembers that song from the eighties?
Anyway.
Apparently most women wear only 20% of the clothes in their closets, which justifies my repeats: accessories, jacket, shoes, leggings, and bag… at least I change my underwear.

Currently in Portland,OR and I’m freezing my bum off. My body is just not built to tolerate weather below 50 degrees. You know what else my body isn’t built for? Gracefulness.
I mean, I am seriously the clumsiest, klutziest, most uncouth person I know. Today I walked into the coffee table 5 times and now my knees are banged up.
Oh and I accidentally set my hair on fire from the candle over the dinner buffet. Um, yeah.
First photo is what I wore at night, second was worn during the day. So the photos aren’t the greatest, taken in my hotel room. But hey, it’s gotta do for now.

Thoughts of the day:
1. Headbands are a godsend for bad hair days.
2. Exposed zippers are my fave trend of the moment.
3. Trans-seasonal dressing gives you the best of both summer and fall. Short hems and sandals + hosiery and dark colors = love
4. Thanks to sweetlilducky for letting me in on where to find these shoes!
5. What is up with my deer in the headlights face? Eh.

Way before I discovered American Apparel’s Afrika line, my friend Ornusa made these awesome pair of M.I.A. inspired leggings. So the unforgiving print can make anyone’s legs look a gazillion times bigger than they actually are, but eh, I love them too much to care.
Ooh but looky looky what I have here… my new fave pair of shoes: Balmain-esque (S/S 09) sandals, minus the heels. When I found these babies, I basked in the awesomeness of the studded details. More closeup photos for your viewing pleasure, oh yeah.
