Winter Quarter has officially started! I’m excited to be back but I am having more trouble adjusting than I thought I would! As I’ve said before my winter break is 6 weeks long so coming back to school can be hard, even though I love being at school. As lame as it sounds I decided to wear a blazer because I wanted to look collegiate, haha. Lame, I know, but oh well. As you can tell my dorm room is a mess already. It’s so hard to keep it clean…
While unpacking I counted 44 pairs of shoes and could not help but laugh at how utterly ridiculous that is. The flats I’m wearing in the photo are my absolute favorite! I call them my Marissa flats because they remind me of Marissa Cooper circa season 1 of The O.C. The coat and scarf were Christmas presents and I love them both!

I love that song by MGMT and it (the title at least) is so fitting to describe shopping this weekend! My sister and I decided it would be fun to go shopping today. We conveniently forgot that it was the weekend before Christmas and everyone else was also shopping everywhere. Oh well, we had fun anyway. I almost finished up my Christmas shopping so it worked out pretty well despite the chaos.

I’m going to a play with my parents today and this is what I wore (sans my coat and scarf).My camera is acting weird so I’m using my Macbook which is why the pictures are SO bad!

I realized that I have put up a couple of posts but never introduced myself! I am a sophomore in college and I am from the Midwest. I go to a school where people wear sweat pants religiously yet I am determined to always get dressed for class! I have been a fan of Chictopia for a while so I finally started my own account. I definitely feel like my style is sub par considering how well everyone apart of this site dresses but I’m excited to learn from all of you!

My best friend and I go to schools five hours apart and today was her last day home for break (my break is from Thanksgiving to New Years so I am home forever!). Anyways, we live very close to each other and so I always walk to her house. A few months ago we did a clothes swap and she gave me this dress so I figured I’d wear it for our goodbye lunch! The walk over there was colder than I expected though… tights were definitely necessary, haha.

It kind of blends in with my hair but I adore this headband!

I recently bought a new coat for winter. It is a honey and black houndstooth trench-inspired coat and I have been wanting a sequined leopard print hat to go with it. I know that sounds like the ultimate in tackiness, but I really love the idea of one. I’ve been looking for one and have had little success but I like both of these A LOT!
