i wore this to see mstrkrft. they took forever to take the stage. endless waiting aside, they’re fantastic.
i couldn’t figure out what shoes to wear with this dress (it’s a one shoulder dress but boyfriend thought the exposed bra strap looked better) so i wore my white jazz shoes here too.
i would really appreciate if you guys could tell me what you think of this outfit. if you don’t like it, how could i make this dress work better?

madama butterfly Add as Favorite Photo

this is me on my way to see madame butterfly. i have wanted to go to an opera for years now but have never had the opportunity. specifically, i’ve always wanted to see madame butterfly. i read all of puccini’s librettos in one sitting when i was in college. that’s how mad i was for puccini.
the night ended with me eating an omelet in the early morning at a 24-hour diner. it was probably one of the best days i’ve had in a long time.

I frequently default to this outfit on mornings when I just can’t think, let alone dress myself. I’m so not a morning person. Or a night person. Or any sort of person for that matter.
The colors of this dress look kind of dull in this picture so I included another one (taken with flash) below.
