First day of school! Wahoo! I wanted to wear something a little more plain than my normal wear, so I wore my pinstripe denim and this really soft t-shirt I bought on clearance at Target. Yay employee discount! I got a lot of compliments on my pants, necklace, and hair even though I’ve worn them all like that before. haha.

I think the stripes on the jeans made them appear really trippy, but look at the bottom photo to see them a little better.

My classes seem well enough, nothing too terrible, a few really awesome teachers. My French class is nice and tiny, 9 people! My English class seems like it will be AMAZING. I’m excited.

After school Stevie, Sam, and I went to Starbucks. It was nice to be able to relax after school unlike the stress that came everyday with junior year. I fleshed out a new script idea with my friends. I’m feeling optimistic. It will be a good year.

This is the second draft of this outfit, the original has a really pretty lace skirt and I liked it better — but I’m going ice skating today and would not like to fall on bare legs on cold ice. I’ll save the improved version of the outfit for school! My hair is half straight and half wavy because of the humidity … urg. Sorry it’s crooked, I had to balance it on my mailbox! Ha!

I wanted an outfit to wear with my new tube of bright red lipstick. You can’t really tell from the picture, but the skirt is black and red checkerboard. It was rainy today. =] I know the outfit and the picture quality both aren’t amazing, but this is my first shot so hopefully things will improve …

Dayna and I went and ran errands today. I bought a full-length mirror, and I walked around the mall to browse in preparation for my back-to-school shopping trip. I love it when it rains in the summer time, so it was wonderful. I put my ipod on shuffle, but skipped everything that wasn’t mellow and lovely. Listened to Stars, Nick Drake, Belle & Sebastian mostly.
