here at Maiden we love to play dress-ups… even at graveyards. these aren’t signature pieces of my line, but it’s always fun to try something different. bodysuits are quite easy to make, but finding a place to wear it to is another story…

here’s some snap shots i took yesterday from the photoshoot, of which i am not really the photographer for, so don’t mind these amateur shots.

Tereza was such a champ. a perfect candidate for a Maidenette. the location for the shoot was at a graveyard in St. Leonards across the North Sydney TAFE. i was in charge of wardrobe & styling. i’m so glad the bodysuit i made fit her. the corset was a little loose but was all good! ahh i do love photoshoots! if only i could use an SLR properly…

here’s one of the pieces from the upcoming BLACK & WHITE ’09 collection.

i matched it up with these harem pants i bought at a store on Chapel Street when i went down to Melbourne last October. i pulled it up a little higher to the waist and added a belt. looks quite classy don’t you think?

btw i got into my course for next year at Ultimo! wooh! i guess it’s back to school for me!

a new creation from Maiden. a simple black dress accompanied by a handmade tulle neckpiece.

you can’t see it in this picture but there’s pleated waves on the top half of the dress. also made the waist belt from thick elastic and buckles from an old belt.

here’s a dress i made Maidenette Jessica Lee for a xmas party coming up. i matched it up with a pair of patterned leggings, looks very elegant vintage BUT that’s not what she was wanting. hahaha my bad, so i had to unpick the neckline to make it look summery. i might post up the end result a little later. but i do like this look, so i think i’ll be making it for the AW09 collection, can’t wait for the cold season!
