A little awkward, but that’s okay. I decided to go a little retro today and put a red ribbon in my hair. To tone it down I wore a black tank and cropped sweat/jacket with my ever so persistent jeans that I wear so much. I think I need to go jean shopping soon….I also cluttered the look with a jack load of bracelets. C’est bon. Je pense, pour maintenant!

I can honestly say this photo is horrid-apart from the red lips. I read an article last night about the economy crisis and how cosmetics have seemed to soar despite the huge economical blow. Another thing it mentioned was how lipstick colours are: “out with the red in with the neutrals”. I can honestly say red will NEVER be out!

I’d like to think of Red as my “signature” look in a way. I used to wear it periodically, but with early mornings I just haven’t been up to par.

So excuse the lame outfit and facial expression. & try to focus solely on the russian red lipstick from MAC. It is winter, it’s time to bring out the coulour in everyday black winter wear!

VICTORY FOR AMERICA! OBAMA!!

This is my victory outfit for November 5th 2008. History in the making!! I had a blue jacket on as well that complete the random red, white, and blue look. Although it was way too hot to wear under those lights in the picture. I can’t decide if this look is more sailer or Parisian.?. Either way it’s a simplistic look that can work for any occasion. The white pants are a treasure and cost me a fortune as well! Their DeHoghton. Ironically I can never seem to get my full 5’11” body into frame. I guess I need to go barefoot from now on. Rock on Barack!

I voted today!!!! & this is how I made my decisions! My shoes aren’t noticeable in this photo but they are AMAZING! They’re from Michael Toschi an American-Italian shoe brand (I won’t say company because I’m not sure thats correct). They’re a higher ankle boot and 3 1/4 heel. Suede and leather. Magically comfortable as well! The scarf is a vintage french something or other. It was my grandmére’s when she lived in France, and now it’s mine! The look is pretty average and you can find mod-vintage ones anywhere now! Anyways go VOTE! Most people keep their political identities under wraps, but I sure as hell don’t! So go vote for Obama or get the hell out of America!

The dress is XS and still too big. Hence the wide angular hips. It was on clearance and already knocked off so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Like Tim Gunn says, “Make it work!” & I hope I did just that.
Update: I was showing my mom my new outfit when she pointed out the dress was backwards!!! No wonder it didn’t have the right shape to it, and the pockets were farther away than normal. Sometimes I wonder about myself.

I don’t know what this is. I felt like trying on my newly purchased clothing and ended up snapping some photos in between. Black fedora with black peacoat, black leggings from express, black boots, and a black and red dress which is more like a MINI dress on me. The coat is actually longer than the dress itself. That’s what happens when you’re 5’11” -nothing fits.
