My Aunt found this dress for me in a charity shop, I was home from work sick one day and she thought that this might make me feel better, uhh definately did! She also brought over a sick pair of high waisted stirrup leggings/pants and a Bazaar magazine…..screw chicken noodle soup! I think it was tailor made for someone. It’s a tad too big but it’s just fine with a belt. The shoes are from Aldo, the belt from Winner’s and my Nan gave me the pearls.

This was taken by my pop on our way down from San Francisco to LA. My Dad loves a good photo sesh as much as I do (well he’s more the tourist type) so we stopped by a bunch of pretty places on our way to take photos. The boots are vintage Frye that I bought near Haight/Ashbury (soooooooo many good vintage shops in that area, despite all the haggered looking hippies desperatly trying to relive the ‘60s). Although you can’t really see the dress it’s a navy blue, kimono style one from Urban O and the cardigan is from Ellen Tracy and the sunglasses are Rayban Wayfarers and were a gift from my Dad.

My grandmother has a wonderous wardrobe that I have claimed as my own in the last few years, much to her delight. Once upon a time she was fairly well known in Canadian politics and being in the public eye she invested in some very good pieces of clothing, as well as finding a great tailor who she has stuck with for over 30 years. This dress was bought for some event and was floor length until I got my grubby little hands on it and had it tailored a few inches above the knee. The belt is from Value Village and the green tube dress is from American Apparel just to keep things a bit more modest. Please excuse the tackiness of adding bar shots, I’ll try to refrain from that in the future.
