It was finally cool enough in Texas to bring out faux fur without looking crazy.

It has been a crazy couple of weeks with no pics! I’m in a play and the part I have is definitely not a chic character so my closet has been neglected…very sad!

I just thrifted these boots today and decided to try them out for happy hour. I must say, they are pretty comfy. I also found a beautiful new cardi but being in Texas means I’ll probably have to wait to wear for at least another month, but I have some preppy visions for it…I can’t wait!

My top is another “what is it” piece but I’m finding it more versatile than I had first thought it to be.

I really like this checked jacket. I wore it the belted like this the other day w/ a rolled jean and the same boot & I liked it a lot but with the tights and dress I think it maybe reminds me of that 80’s show Dynasty because it’s a size too big and sort of looks like I’m wearing shoulder pads. Any other suggestions?

I’m referring to the colorful “dress” that I’m wearing over the white button down shirt. At first I thought it was a skirt and thought I’d just hem it, but then I pulled it up and decided that it wasn’t too short for a dress. I made it more day time with the shirt, but it’s not bad without it for evening.

I like it a lot, but what is it? Any ideas?

(My legs always look so stubby in pictures- I think I need to Have R.H. kneel when he does this for me.)

I was looking for something to go with a dress purchased earlier this summer but haven’t worn yet and these caught my eye even though I was looking for another black pair. I had my doubts but when I got home SURPRISE! They go with a lot more than I thought they would and now it’s love! I’ve figured they can run between 50’s housewife and slut and because they’re closed toe, they’re also work friendly.
Mmmm…my new all purpose shoes. You’ll probably see them alot.
