Hairy Not Scary   Add as Favorite Photo

I’m fascinated by the use of human hair in some designers work.
‘Style Bubble’ has blogged about this on a few occasions & the comments are almost overwhelmingly negative, it seems that there’s a general abhorrence to the use of hair as a material. I beg to differ; I can’t really see what the problem is when people are seemingly more than happy to wear human hair extensions & what about real fur then, like Susie Bubble mentions in her blog, it’s not like somebody’s been scalped to create the garment.
I can see quite a lot of DIY potential here & I’ve already been to ‘PAK cosmetics’ to stock up on some weave…so watch this space if you can stomach it!

1 & 2. Camilla Skovgaard’s hair adorned sandals & boots.
3. Gemma Slack braided hair sleeve top.
4. Gareth Pugh & his coat made with human hair.
5. Limi Feu S/S 09 hairy headphones.

When it comes to things that sparkle & shine I’m a total magpie. I’m a sucker for glitzy sequins & flamboyant beading.

This is a really gorgeous vintage knitted sequin & bead dress, it was given to me by my boss & originally belonged to his friend who used to be a performer here in London!

I’m actually wearing it back to front in these pictures… I think that teamed with a tank or sheer top underneath it looks daring yet rather sassy too, perfect for a night of frivolous fun in a rock club.

I’ve added a fetish collar to give the outfit that edgy ‘Torture Garden’ slant!

If i have to i'll ruin myself & it will be my ruin   Add as Favorite Photo

There’s nothing better for getting rid of a shite mood than a good old dose of metal music pounding in the ears whilst running around the park…I mean hard-core RUNNING, no namby pamby deodorant commercial style quasi-jogging but running as if your bloody life depended on it until you can taste iron in your spit…hell yeah!

That really sorts me out anyway & no matter how low I might feel beforehand, it works a treat to banish the foul mood & really gets those seratonin levels pumped up to the max.

All that rubbish about how “Men sweat but women perspire”, forget it, if my clothing isn’t absolutely ringing when I get back from a run, then I’ve not pushed myself hard enough!

I don’t get these women who join a gym only to go walking on the treadmill on the easiest setting, whilst watching TV & still wearing full make-up & jewellery…what is all that about? Why even bother in the first place? I dunno it just blows me away!

So this morning I went round the park three times…Speedy Gonzales with a rocket up his rectum style with ‘My Ruin’ & ‘Mudvayne’ blasting through the headphones…Now if that doesn’t wake you up, nothing will….I felt sweet all day eventhough I had a really dire day at work, God bless seratonin!

I was inspired by Tairrie B’s violent vocals when dressing…

Hell it’s cold today…I have to put the winter curtains up pronto cause it’s actually more chilly inside than out, how that works I’ll never quite understand but alas it’s a fact! These old dilapidated English buildings have a peculiar way of holding on to the bitter rawness of the season & the fact that the windows are paper thin (no luxurious double glazing here) doesn’t really make matters any better either!

The only benefit really is that you walk around in an enduring state of “perkyness” as the cold has you permanently in goose pimples…Brrrrrrr!

Vintage 80s floral stretch lace dress (charity shop)

I love crazy-ass colourful prints & this vintage 60s mini shirt dress ticks all the boxes for me, with it’s eye melting acid bright psychedelic print…that makes me think of early video game graphics for some reason.

I bought this from a car boot sale for less than a fiver, it still had the original tags on from all those years ago, stuff like that just makes me tick!

Vintage 60s mini shirt dress (car boot sale)
Mock croc belt (£1 shop)
Tights (M&S)
Black hot pants (Topshop)
Vintage 80s thigh length boots (market)
