<p>It’s Friday + I am ecstatic! Probably helped by a few things.<br />1. It’s sunny!<br />2. It’s casual Friday at work so I can wear these super comfy silk shorts that I could live in.<br />3. It’s the last Friday of the month which means my boss shouts us all sushi for lunch! Yum <span class="caps">AND</span> free!! Woohoo!</p><p>Mick (my other half + super photographer) was hell bent on the ‘hiker/hunter’ vibe of my outfit today. We were rushing to grab a couple of happy snaps before scooting off to work, and he is behind the lense laughing “hike for me!” “just show us a little hiking action!”. Most of the photos didn’t work out as they are blurry with us both moving/laughing. <p>A matter of days from Summer + it is grey skies, torrential rain + feels like Autumn/Winter. Ahh well, an excuse to try something I’ve been meaning to for awhile – a bow tie! (well, of sorts…)</p><p>I found this awesome button up ‘Crocodile Hunter’ meets ‘Ladies That Lunch’ blouse on the weekend for a whole $3. It is a million times to big for me, but with the right amount of sleeve rolling + pants tucking, gravity seems to be working for me. It was too cute to pass up with it’s sweet beige/taupe colouring + cream lace collar + pocket. It had me at hello. A perfect day for it’s first outing + what better way to rock it out then with a bow tie!</p><p>This is definitely inspired by the immaculately groomed Brad from The Rachel Zoe Project. If I were a boy, I would dress like him everyday. I ridiculously adore him + his vests + bow ties + old world gentlemenly attire. The show was on again last night + I caught most of it amongst the short circuiting from the storm. I fear the series is almost over + I am at a loss as to what will fill the void once it’s over. Youtube-ing old episodes perhaps? <p>For certain reasons today, it was imperative to look the part for work. Professional/corporate/groomed etc. My vintage ‘Audrey’ <span class="caps">LBD</span> was the first thing that came to mind + it always seems to do the job. So, a little bit boring today – but it looks like everything is running smoothly with work, so I am satisfied.</p><p>Random accidental glomesh fetish happening today – gold glomesh belt, black glomesh bag + black glomesh purse.</p><p>I really felt like wearing this Witchery black sequinned jacket over the top (open, not buttoned up), but I went for simplicity instead. <p>I had the most amazing weekend! It was summer + holidays + relaxing + afternoon drinks + champagne/pineapple juice + love. I think beautiful sunday afternoons spent with friends, live music + drinks by the beach are the height of my existence. I feel so completely me and happy to be alive. Mmmm.. <p>Casual Friday today + the chance to show you my favourite new purchase: Zimmermann ‘Sunshine Acid’ denim skirt. (Disclaimer: It will be worn a ridiculous amount of time this summer. You have been warned.) Oh and no idea why there is a random mop outside my house (last pic) umm.. that’s how I roll?</p><p><span class="caps">LOVE</span> this skirt, <span class="caps">LOVE</span> blue/white/tan colour palette, <span class="caps">LOVE</span> this top, <span class="caps">LOVE</span> these shoes = ruffle central. I made sure I took a back shot for you to see the ruffle overload in it’s full glory. I unashamedly heart ruffles + wear them with pride – even in twin combos such as today. Hence, I have frequented my local Zimmermann religiously these past few months, lusting after pretty much everything + imagining what it would be like to be ca$hed up! I have purchased this skirt, a black ruffle bikini and two one pieces – that I can’t wait to wear with this skirt! Considering how amazing their last few collections have been, I think I have been quite restrained in my purchasing + alas, I can’t justify spending every last red cent of mine on clothing – shock/horror!</p><p>Oh and to tempt me + other like minded females out there, Zimmermann have recently opened their own online <a href="http://www.zimmermannstore.com/collections/readytowear">store.</a> A serious test on my will power.
