<p>I bought this little suit, a jacket and shorts set, at Wild Man Vintage some months ago but have never had the guts to wear them together. However, I just got through with an article on Lou Doillon for <a href="http://rathausartprojects.com/blog/">The Rathaus</a> blog I write for and was inspired by her to take some more risks. <p>Before getting dressed in the morning I usually think of at least one idea to incorporate into my outfit (a color, specific item, hairpiece, pants vs dress, etc). And almost every day this week I have wanted to include something sparkly, shiny, or sequined. <p>I sell clothes to the trade stores in our town often and am always torn about whether an item that has been sitting in my closet for months, or even years, will be wearable again in the future. I am a clothes pack rat, but really, some things have got to go. However, I am always excited when I start to wear something again that has been “this close” many times to go in for the trade. I am loving sparkly clothes, and although it does not show up well in the picture, this is my sparkly black cardigan that I used to wear all the time and has been on the chopping block the last few trips to the trade store. <p>I found this amazing jacket at an estate sale over the weekend. It came with a little note from the former owner which explained the origin of the piece. Created in 1877 by her grandmother, the jacket had stayed in the family and was preserved by this lady. Although I do love the idea of preserving antique clothing I cannot let it sit in my closet and not be worn.
