The weather in San Francisco is PMS-ing like crazy. It’s July. I should not have to wear tights for warmth!!
I don’t know if this is too much acid wash, but I thought the colors just worked well together. They make me feel summery.
And I got these awesome like-new converses from the Chictopia Clothing Swap this Saturday. Crazy luck because I was thinking of buying a pair of black converses.

I bought these pink patchwork Converses a long time ago… ripped off the converse logo patch and bejeweled them with beads+sequins. There’s also some stitching detail on the other side of the left shoe with the face of a character of mine that’s been in development for quite some time.
Someone said these made them smile. That made me smile. On the inside.

I do… it’s so versatile. Pretty, Punky, Classy, Trashy… Timeless? How does lace NOT evoke some distant Victorianesque imagery? Not quite sure how I pulled off this leather + lace combo, but I think that zipper in my skirt may be a bit too much.

I really can’t walk up stairs in this skirt… I’m about 90% sure that I’m flashing 90% of people walking behind me when I do. But the thick tights help minimize the embarrassment I guess.
I cut my bangs yesterday in a very haphazard fashion and… they look pretty gnarly. In a messy, but not quite cool way. So very bad. blah.
The laces on my docs also ripped this morning. I tied the torn ends together. Don’t think I’ll replace them anytime soon.

Spring to me has always meant flowers and colors. But to avoid the predictable floral prints and pastels, I think texture is an interesting thing to consider—for any season. So I decided to pair my most predictably floral item with a super girly, mini-ruffled chiffon blouse and old western/farmer-esque woven leather belt. My conclusions: the cotton texture of the skirt works better than the print; the sharp a-line from the cotton contrasts well with the ruffled edges of the sheer blouse; and I need to lose my knee fat.
I also love that I can cover my face with sunglasses now that the sun’s shining brighter and longer. No eye makeup necessary!!!

Too bad, it’s all gone now. Nyum. I’m waiting for my hair to grow out about 6 inches longer so that I can perm it. I’ve had several hair styles over the years, and I think short bobs/rocker ’dos + long curls suit me the best. I just did the short bob thing and now am patiently waiting for it to grow out so I can do the long curl thing again.
These are probably my favorite pair of jeans. I don’t need to worry about them getting dirty or messed up, since they’re already pretty messed up (and super old). They’re also NOT low-rise, so I can sit in crackless comfort whenever/wherever.
The good thing about daylight savings is that the sun sets later in the day. Right now it’s setting around 8 pm. Woot!
Still kinda cold though.
