Real quick, here’s what I wore to graduation. I kept it fairly simple, especially since it was such a nice spring day. Obviously, I was really classy too when it kept slipping down and showing my bra. I must’ve said it a million times that day, but yes, that’s my bra, and you know what just let it hang out because I don’t care. I’m graduating. Er so yeah… haha.

And why don’t bloggers smile in their photos anymore? Or rather, not so often. I enjoy smiles a lot… it’s one of my favorite features! :)

I got to see a bunch of friends that I graduated high school with the other night, and it was a blast! I figured it was the perfect time to try the whole intriguing bike short deal Stylish posted (though granted, I had to opt for my old black ones from volleyball)… definitely comfortable and easy for a night of dancing!

I love having friends that know how to have a good time while being sober… it seems like way too many of my peers nowadays need alcohol or other various substances to have fun. How disappointing.

Anyhow, to sum up… my friends are awesome. And driving around at 2 in the morning with nothing but the cold air through the window while singing along to Miss Gaga at the top of my lungs can certainly keep a girl awake. Exhilarating!

I have to literally ban myself from shopping, but I am compelled to find the perfect romper… It’s proven pretty difficult for my body type (short torso and looong legs! help!), but this one from Motel Rocks looks promising! Any suggestions?

So the story behind this dress…

I definitely wanted something vintage, some gorgeous and breathtaking and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. AND, I wanted to avoid that dreaded, most horrifying prom experience.. when you see another girl IN THE SAME EXACT DRESS AS YOU. shudder

I feel like the best things in my wardrobe are the things that I never was seeking out directly — the items I cherish the most are the items that i just happened to come upon while skimming, or not even actually actively searching.

So when I found this dress on Nasty Gal Vintage, it was literally love at first sight. All I can (vaguely) remember is a slight panic-attack-ridden, hyperventilating, screaming… er. Let’s just say, it was meant to be.

My best friend, who was also planning the entire dance, told me that I had somehow matched perfectly to the dance’s color scheme: black and gold.

All in all… perfect, right? And the beautiful corsages were made by a local florist who truly has a gift in flower arrangement.

Needless to say, perfect prom.
