Trip to Langkawi.   Add as Favorite Photo

Dec 23, 2009 9 comments

Langkawi is one of the many beautiful islands in Malaysia located at the north of the peninsular. Went there with a bunch of friends and we had great fun. It had been so many years since I last went there. I think I was probably around 13 then? Whatever it is, the trip was great despite the hot heat. By the time we got back, we were utterly exhausted.

Ah btw, dont mind the face. This is the only good photo of the outfit ^^;;;

My first time to Singapore.   Add as Favorite Photo

It was my first time to Singapore. Went there with my parents and Cheri, a family friend. I wanted to see everything, go everywhere – yep I was pretty excited hehe.

This was taken in front of ION, which is one of the many malls there. We waited for the light show to start in front of the mall. I had nothing to do so I just took lots of photos. The outfit was pretty practical and comfortable in my opinion. The necklace that I wore is actually a mini alarm clock was bought for 5SGD the day before at Bugis Street. I love the place! So many cheap treasures. And so many people, too. At one point I got dizzy because there were too many people.

Nevertheless, I had fun in Singapore. I love the places, the food (which is very very similar to Malaysian food), and of course the malls! Will definitely go there again :D

Malacca.   Add as Favorite Photo

Another college trip. We went to Malacca. Lots of historical places there which were awesome. I’ve never been to Malacca before so I was pretty excited :D The buildings were amazing and I love the fact that the state had taken the initiative to preserve most of them, unlike some of the other states in Malaysia, unfortunately T_T

*Excuse the very “tourist-y” photos ^^;;; I separated from the group and walked with another friend so she took my photos and I took hers.

#1: In front of a small Buddhist temple on Jonker Street.
#2: Somewhere at Stadthuys Square, Malacca.
#3: I love Jonker Walk/Jonker’s Street! So many things to see (and buy). Antiques, cool souvenirs, awesome tshirts.. too bad I didnt have the moolah, though T_T Will definitely go there again!
#4: Maritime Museum, it’s a replica of the Frol de la Mar ship that was used by the Portuguese when Malacca was controlled by them.
#5: Kind of candid photo of us before heading back to College.

Trippy trippy trip trip #01   Add as Favorite Photo

My college semester has nearly ended. So they decided to conduct trips to Port Dickson beach. It was tonnes of fun. At first I didnt want to go into the water. But luckily I did bring extra clothes just in case. And when we reached the beach, the first thing I blurted out was “THANK GOD I BROUGHT EXTRA CLOTHES. OMG I’M SO EXCITED TO GO IN THE WATERRRRR!!”

Yep, I love going to the beach. Hehe. Went on the Banana Boat (in case you dont know, it’s basically it’s a boat that looks like a banana. Hah! Dont have a photo though, unfortunately) twiceee. The boat was tied to a speed boat and it was so much fun. We went around and when we came back to the beach, the boatman flipped the Banana boat and we all went into the water. Suffocating but still, thrilling! Everything happened in a split second. Lucky we were told to wear safety jackets all the time because not all of us can really swim (myself included ^^;;;).

All in all it was great! Had fun and this is our final year together as college mates so yeah, I was so happy that day :D

Deepavali (Festival of Lights, celebrated by Indians) is coming soon. Took this photo in Midvalley where they had lots of flowers around and pretty designs everywhere in accordance with the festival.

That aside, I went out with Izyan today. Had breakfast together and we went around Midv and Gardens for window shopping. I wish I have extra money to spend T_T I actually wanted to wear a jacket but went with ‘shirt as cardigan’ instead. I dont know why, I just wanted to try something different that what I’m used to wearing.

Animal Print.   Add as Favorite Photo

I bought a new shawl as a hijab. Usually, I would just stay away from any animal prints because I don’t think it’ll look good on me. But I was attracted to this one because of the colours. And I never wear patterned hijab, so I wanted to try something new I guess.
