My first actual high-waisted jupe, which I purchased today. It was a steal from Kohl’s ($5!) and is from the Simply Vera by Vera Wang collection. A lovely dressy-ish tank from Express (once again, a steal for $8). Louboutins … just joking, they’re Oh Deer!s (I’ve noticed every good thing I buy is a bargain). My favorite cardigan finishes off the look.
This one’s good for the chill days when color just seems too bright. And for school, I would definitely not wear those heels.

(please excuse the location of this picture … it’s the only secluded place where I can take pictures of myself from the right angle and without feeling awkward in front of anyone)

My first stop after acquiring much-needed birthday money … Forever 21. I didn’t find as many things I liked like I normally have in other shopping trips but what I did find was fabulous.
Flouncy dresses with floral prints are my new favorites. Tiny yellow flowers are printed all over and allow the overall print to not be overwhelming. The length of the dress makes it perfectly appropriate for school but it has stunning details all around. The cardigan is amazingly lightweight and it fits like a glove on the arms and loose on the body. My favorite jazz patent shoes from Vagabond make this outfit translatable into Back-to-School fashion (it helps that they are really comfortable).
