This was such an "artsy" shoot for me because it reminded me so much of the casual-comfort wear that was everywhere around the art inspired areas of Paris. I wasn't even thinking when I put this outfit on; I was in school mode and when I looked in the mirror I felt like I was in my studio apartment again in Le Marais getting ready for a day of designing. Now that fall has arrived in Chicago, I have been able to wear a lot of my favorite warmer pieces that really pop with all the leaves changing.
I currently work as a stylist at Calypso St. Barth and recently purchased this beanie from the boutique because I fell so in love with the comfort of it and how adorable it looks. A simple knitted beanie with a rabbit poof on top was perfection to me, so I'm so excited that it got cold enough for me to wear it! I styled the outfit pretty casual and simple with an oversized button-down shirt and autumn leaves colored jeggings, making it a very basic meets stylish ensemble. In Paris, you will see the women who are ultra-chic with their ultra-expensive name brands, but then you run into the women who didn't spend hours getting ready; looking cozy, fresh, natural, and beautiful--that is what I was going for.
Paired with animal print oxfords, blue and gold jewelry, and natural makeup with a bold lip, the whole outfit came together so simply. Walking down the cobblestone alleyways in my neighborhood truly felt like I was back in Paris, prancing along the River Seine for the very first time.
