When I stepped out of my front door this morning, I realized that I was missing something from my outfit…a scarf. It was chilly and I got the chance to wear one of my favorite winter pieces of clothing: the purple monster. When my father was sick a few years ago, I sat in doctors’ offices with my mom and knitted to pass the time and relieve stress. I found comfort in working on it, and found that I just couldn’t stop. Well, my dad is better now and the result of all that knitting was this extremely long, soft, purple scarf.
It was a nice touch of color to add to my patterned dress and velvet blazer, and I’m glad I had the chance to wear it again this season before the warm weather begins in earnest. The pattern of the vintage dress is green and blue geometrical shapes on a cream background, but I like the touch of purple on top.
(p.s. sorry the pictures are so dark! I didn’t realize they were until I looked at it on a computer other than mine. I’ll try to make them clearer next time:)
