Yesterday, Josh and I celebrated six years of marriage. We went out to dinner together on Saturday evening and finished up our Christmas shopping. We had a great time together, drawing on the table at Ted's Montana Grill (and battling with the melt-in-your-mouth paper straws they have) and going from store to store, buying our girls' Christmas gifts.
Since we officially celebrated Saturday night, we didn't do anything very special yesterday. We went to church like we do every Sunday, and we each did something small for the other. Josh let me have a nap with the bedroom door closed and the girls' monitors off -- completely undisturbed. It was fantastic. I gave him a shoulder and back massage before we hunkered down for a good night's sleep.
We had a great weekend together, and I'm so happy to have Josh as my husband. I believe we compliment each other perfectly. I really like the guy, even though he doesn't enjoy watching reruns of The Office as much as I do. I can forgive that, I guess.
Thank you, God, for giving me such an amazing husband.
