Today was cold and rainy. The temperature dropped about fifteen degrees and I needed to break out a jacket before I headed to work. The dress and jacket in this photo are vintage. I really love both of them because of the colors and the fact that I can wear them so many different ways.
When I found the dress, it was on the sales rack because one of the women who worked at the shop had owned it and accidentally shrunken it in the wash…she told me the story herself as I headed to the dressing room. The seamstress who fixed the buttons on the jacket sold it to me at another shop. That’s one of the things that I love about shopping at vintage stores. The employees and owners tend to love the clothes and you get a sense of people’s stories, and the history of the clothes. I don’t know…I always loved hand-me-downs as a kid:)
Also included in this post is an image of the sweater I wore underneath the jacket…basically what I wore for the majority of the day today at work! Happy holidays everyone!
