I am extremely excited to share with you lovelies the launch of my new website redesign!! This is a new stepping stone for Inspirafashion. I started this blog about 3 years ago, without knowing what it would be today, I put all my time, efforts, love and passion into it. I am so grateful to have you all along on this journey and ride of my personal style blog. Having a new look for Inspirafashion, including a new logo, just brings an amazing fresh way to start off the new year. I thought it'd be perfect timing also to launch it during thanksgiving week, because ultimately I am so grateful to have you as my readers.
The website redesign started about a month and a half ago, when I met up with one of my really great friends (we go way back from middle school!), Richard Tom. He's been a great inspiration for me too, with his amazing work and passion in art and design. We met up at Philz Coffee and from there started brainstorming ideas -- with each meeting we breathed life into the new website. In addition, I have to give a big shoutout to Juan Padilla, who helped in all the coding of the site.
The design process was so personal and fun at the same time. I love how Richard included a tiny but significant detail to the site with the one extra color, burgundy oxblood, he took a swatch of this color from Alyssa Nicole’s skirt I styled. It just brought more life and meaning to the site, because I met Alyssa after collaboration by modeling for her Spring ‘13 collection and from there we became great friends. She’s such a talented designer who inspired me along the way in my blog. And this goes for all people/brands/artists I partner with in my blog, inspiring me, and ties in so well with my blog name/theme Inspirafashion. Other features I loved were the blog buttons and the entire design was kept sleek, simple, and elegant.
On top of this I had the pleasure and great opportunity to work with one of Richard’s talented friends, Tim Williams on a photoshoot and videoshoot all in one. We spent the entire day in Berkeley finding unexpected great spots to shoot at -- some of my fave: Berkeley Marina, Elmwood Cafe, and random cute houses / scenery in Berk. I thought it'd be the best place to shoot because it has been one of my hometowns for a while, going to school at UC Berkeley before. It hit home..and I am so very happy with the result of it all working with Tim. We also created a special promo video for the new website launch, I hope you lovelies like it! It showcases a few outfits I've styled, one of my passions.
