I had the most fun last night!
My faculty at uni (Arts) had its annual harbour cruise last night, and the theme was ‘Anything But Clothes.’
Being me, I wanted to make something over the top, so I made this dress out of white plastic bags!! It didn’t take too much effort- I just tied the handles to a long strip of material and tied it around my waist. I used maybe around… 30ish plastic bags to make this dress :D
The top part was made out of plastic bags and tissue paper, the waist sash was also tissue paper and the flowers in my hair are made of tissues! I originally had 3 flowers but someone stole one off my hair last night :O
Anyway.. the booze cruise was fun…. but I forgot to put my memory card in my camera so I could only take about 10 photos! :( There were some people with great outfits, like people wearing balloons, heaps of rubber gloves, magazine pages, aprons, bark, enviro-bags, and even branches and leaves :P Most people were really creative! But I wonder why some people go to events like this and don’t bother to dress up- it’s not that hard to even make a skirt using a garbage bag or newspaper!
It’s so fun wearing this dress because it’s all puffy and rustle-y!!! :P But it did get hot wearing it hehe.
Oh and btw… I didn’t actually wear these heels last night, I wore flats :P and I didn’t wear the gloves either :P
If anyone wants to know how to make a dress like this for an event or something, or how to make those tissue flowers just ask :D
