So… you might recall how, about a month ago, I said I had given up searching for a job and had decided to pursue my dreams of being a writer full time. It was actually going rather well. I didn’t expect any miracles, but I was happy in my work, moving along at my own little pace. I was writing all kinds of fashion articles and putting the final touches on my novel. And then – probably predictably – it happened. An opening came up at my old office that urgently needed to be filled; I am already trained for the job and have no employer to give two-weeks notice to. This my roundabout, somewhat embarrassed way of saying that although I’ve far from given up on my dreams, I have agreed to step back into an office job for the next year. It’s been a long time since I’ve had to operate on anyone’s schedule other than my own, so I expect that the first few months will be an adjustment in many respects. And while I am looking forward to actually having a shopping budget again, it does mean I’ll have less time for my favourite hobbies – blog reading, blog writing and instagramming. I hope you’ll all bear with me during the transition! Happy Friday!
