My legs are all for flaunting themselves around in warm weather, but come fall, they want nothing to do with the chilly air. (Such a shame too, because I love my skirts.) Maybe once I get used to the cold again, I’ll be brave enough for tights. Maybe. But until then, it’s pants season.
This week I’ll be sharing my favorite styles of denim. Spoiler alert – all the pairs that I’ll be sharing have been showcased here before. (I think I wear these boyfriend jeans a few times a month!)
So yes, today’s denim feature focuses on the infamous boyfriend jeans. I like them because their comfortable and add a little attitude to an outfit.
A few tips for wearing boyfriend jeans:
1. Keep the top sleek. Since the bottoms have the volume, opt for a top that will balance this without adding volume to you.
2. Add a little structure with a blazer or moto jacket. (See how I wore these jeans with a structured blazer.)
3. Step up your kicks. Save those gym shoes for another day and bust out a pair of heels. The mix of masculine (from the jeans) and feminine (from the heels) are always a stylish combination.
And a little side note on the heels. If you haven’t already, you really need to get yourself a pair of nude ones. Find a pair that matches your skin tone. Wearing them with dresses and skirts will make your legs look longer. (Take it from a short girl!)
