This time of year always brings out the child in me. Isn’t there something so nostalgic about the magic of the approaching holidays? Chicago has been absolutely gorgeous this Fall and now with colder, cloudy days, it really is feeling a lot like the holiday season. We’ve been slow-simmering our own homemade chicken broth for soups, lighting cinnamon-scented candles every night, and keeping the red wine flowing. This will be my very first holiday season in Chicago, and let me tell you, Chicago seems to have some of the best shopping in the States! I’m envisioning a day with my best girlfriends on Michigan Ave for Christmas shopping… and what would this day be without ending somewhere fancy for a drink or two? For my 2nd Lulu’s look, I wanted to create a Fall city shopping outfit that could easily transfer from daytime shopping to evening drinks. For warmth, I chose this glamorous frock faux fur coat and cozy burgundy infinity scarf. Underneath it all another perfect “little black dress,” 100% cocktail hour-ready. I’m so in love with the knit fabric and grosgrain ribbon, and I know I’ll be wearing this dress for so many different occasions to come.
