This is what jetlag looks like. I had grand plans about taking outfit photos in every place we stopped on our way back home – these shots were snapped at Rice Park in St. Paul, Minnesota, about twenty-four hours after we landed in North America. I was exhausted, walking around in a kind of daze, unable to escape the feeling that I must have shrunk overnight because everything around me was so large, so far apart. I still felt like I would be going back to Paris soon. Most days, I still do. After this first attempt, we took only one more set of photos before arriving back in Vancouver – when we were on the road, my make-up was packed in an inaccessible suitcase. I lived in a mixed and match combination of t-shirt, jeans and ballet flats. Style didn’t enter my mind nearly so much as staying comfortable sitting in a car for ten hours at a time. But at least I had good intentions…!
