I think that she is a beautiful girl and she has great style but I think she would be even more beautiful if she gained a little weight. I know that you cannot tell if a person is healthy or not by looking at a picture of them, but she is scary skinny.

is something else. I hope that I am wrong and that she is just naturally this thin.

I think that there is a difference between being on the lower end of the weight spectrum and having an upper arm that is the same size as your wrist. Eating disorders are extremely serious and complex. I am definetly not accusing this girl of vanity, but I think that she looks like she is in trouble. Again I cannot say this for sure, and if you say that you know she is a healthy eater that..

Totally agree that being healthy is of first concern, but I know that girls who are naturally on the lower end of the weight spectrum get snubbed quite often or accused of vanity and whatnot. But trust me when I say that Julia has a very healthy appetite!

I trek to NY way too much for my own good, and one of my favorite Manhattanites is Julia Frakes whose infectuous enthusiasm for fashion and sharp wit and discerning eye are beyond inspiring in this black-and-biting world of fashion commentary. Julia’s doing a little series for her blog over at Paper Magazine where your favorite fashion-people complete a “Spring Cleaning” survey (previously, Bonnie Morrison, Aya Kanai and more). Julia was kind enough to fill one out herself. A word beforehand: Julia’s tastes are reffiinnnneed so for anyone planning on visiting NYC, consider this the best edited guide to the city, ever. Read the bunny’s answers below.

xoConnie

Name: Julia Frakes

Facial: Dr. Alkaitis Organic Skin Food Facial by Shannon Rose at Great Jones Spa (29 Great Jones Street)
