I’ve been neglecting my blog, and every other social media site for a few weeks now. I didn’t mean to, but I got caught up with a ton of other things going on that I just kept putting it off until now. Actually, I’ll be moving back to LA in a week, so I’ll probably be even more MIA just trying to get settled in there.
Anyways, fast forwarding through my “Summer is almost over” pity party, this picture was actually taken a few weeks earlier on my visit to San Francisco with my sister. We went to Alcatraz, which was completely fascinating, albeit definitely morbid. On our way to the island, the weather was nice and sunny, maybe a little bit chilly, but definitely a beautiful day. However, after we got out of the audio tour in the cell blocks, that was another story. The sky was overcast, and it was the bitter type of cold that makes you want to curl up under the blankets next to a fire. It makes sense though because we were on a tiny little rock in the middle of a bay. In this picture, I’m actually holding up my scarf because I soon figured out that covering my nose and mouth made a huge difference in the wind. I am definitely not used to that weather, with all of the two days that we get in rain, and also, the fact that I am sweating bullets sitting in my sauna of a room trying with an unbelievably hot Macbook. Ah the downside of living in essentially a desert known as Southern California.
Oh but my outfit! Ahh well I will make this really quick because I am overheating just sitting here doing minimal work. Macy’s shirtdress, Steve Madden boots, and some sweet UO crew socks (I am obsessed with crew socks at the moment, they go so well with brogues).
Sorry to have made that so fast, but have a great evening everyone!
