Perth obviously struggles to get to the point where I can safely wrap myself in coats for long periods of time without breaking out in a sweat. For those who know me well enough, I trust that you fully understand the jacket-slinging effect.
Of course I’m referring to the act of draping outerwear over your shoulders. Now you’re thinking: But wouldn’t it just fall off? Not if you’re doing it right. While this may sound fairly impossible, the trick is to limit your physical movements (i.e. no waving, hugging or flagging a cab). With such tedious rules aside, the thrown-on trend is honestly quite flattering; adieu bulky arms.
Admittedly, the option of having your coat on and off in a snap is somewhat appealing. No excessive straining of arm muscles when battling with gruelling get-me-out-of this-jacket-now situations. After all, any activity that requires zero effort is one I have absolutely no shame in embracing. So tell me – how do you like your outerwear worn?
