What a difference a year can make. Last Summer in NYC, I’d spend each morning trying to find something other than a string bikini that I could wear to work and still beat the heat. Gwyneth, sprawled out like a Yorkie rug on the coolest spot of the kitchen floor, would give me her “at-least-you’re-not-wearing-a-permanent-fur-coat” look.
Now that we’re on the opposite coast, my mornings are spent putting together outfits that are warm enough for San Francisco’s brisk freezing temperatures, but that still feel like Summer. With a closet full of completely-out-of-the-question sundresses, it looks like we’re going to double down on denim this year. Pairing our Articles of Society light wash skinnies and J. Crew Chambray Button Down with a few pops of neon keeps the look feeling like Summer. But seriously, y’all – if the temperature drops another 5 degrees, we’re pulling out the fur.
