Fridays are casual dress-down days in the office (as I’ve mentioned already, one hundred times presumably) and being one of the most rebellious heathens out there, I decided to abuse my privilege one particular Friday by dressing up like a college student, in the cutest and kitschiest unicorn-print pullover known to mankind.
Under normal circumstances, I probably won’t even bother giving this piece a second look but I don’t know what possessed me to buy this a year ago, but to that burst of sudden inspiration, thank you, now I have something utterly unique and awesome in my closet.
So on a typical work day, I would prefer to dress up more elegantly so I can appear more presentable and well put together. I’ve always thought it was key to be taken more seriously; I mean, remember, how you project yourself on public is tantamount to the respect you show to the people you’re meeting and the individuals who get to see you.
But I think deviating from the “usual” once in a while can lead to pleasant results–something I’d liken to a stroke of genius. As is with the things I do on a day-to-day basis, I like to think out of the box and do something different, just to yield something extraordinary.
