I just threw my newly acid washed jeans in the washing machine and last I checked they looked super! Amazing! Fabulous! Anyway, thanks for the how-to! I can't wait to rock those jeans like you do all of your outfits. Much love.

Where can I find your blog entry on the acid wash/bleach jeans? I'm really curious because I browsed the internet in search of how to do acid wash jeans at home and most posts, entries and videos said you shouldn't try doing acid wash at home, you should rather just buy a pair of ready AW jeans at any store. the problem is that I live in Poland...can't find any acid wash anywhere!

I just did this with a hot pink v-neck and it came out AWESOME. The bleach turned some parts purple, but oh man, I'm so excited to wear it. I will take some pictures when it's dry.

Haha, I've already wasted money on the American Apparel acid wash (a ton of it actually) but I will definitely not spend a dime doing this as well :P

Im going to try this on some jeans tomorrow, but with like, mega bleach. haha. thanks for the instructions, i love the outfit, the high waisted jeans look awesome since your legs are tiny, lol.

i just tried this, amazing fun. however, my bleach went on so much stronger, and wouldn't fade in no matter how much i rubbed. On some, it left big sploches instead of more of a 'wash'. tips for this, has this ever happened to you?
still loved the effect, though. super easy & cheap, which is a total plus. ;)

yeah, you need to use 'household bleach' rather than 'thick bleach'... i don;t discovered the difference recently. if you check my personal chictopia blog you can see some jeans i made using the thick bleach. even better than the acid wash if you ask me.

i was just wondering whether you know what colour t-shirt to use if i wanted a grey/black grainy affect on the tee shirt. i see your one above turned a little brown/grey looking so i am a little confused

hey, i'm not too sure. i think the black fades to brown rather than grey. could try it with a dark grey t-shirt and see what happened. you'll have to experiment!

what kind of bleach did u use for ur shirt?
cuz ur shirt has a cool grey-ish off black look..and when i did it mine turned splotchy orange =/
ew.
lol...
i guess clorox sucks? lol..

the bleach may have been too strong. if you don't have the weaker 'household bleach' you could try diluting it. good luck!

I actually tried it!
but I think the UK has some intensely concentrated bleach, because I left my bleach in for half an hour and there was BARELY any color change.

This tutorial is a fucking lifesaver. I acidwashed some Primark leggings yesterday and admittedly they look a little hippy and cirque-du-so-lame, but fuck it, I like them anyway.

omg I did this a couple years ago with this jean jacket. An acid wash jean jacket, YES, I rocked it. People thought it cost hundreds, I said bitch please try $20. haha

thanks! they actually don't though, unfortunately. it's all good on the legs but they bunch up around the waist and make me look slightly pregnant. front views only!

The shirt looks amazing. I actually just did the same thing to a scarf that I made and then I used some dye to give it a bit more color.

I remember doing those tie dye shirts back like 6th grade when they were the cool thing to wear. HAHA. This is something I'll definitely try since sewing is not really a skill of mine :x
