cocoandvera 's Thoughts:

When I was growing up, I read all of the books in the Claudine series by Colette… and when I recieved a package of beautiful dresses from Canadian designer Dear Faithful a few weeks ago, all in feminine shapes and delicate fabrics with pretty, old-fashioned girls’ names on their tags, those stories of a turn of the century teenager immediately came to mind. Claudine was forthright and self-assured at a time when women were most often seen and not heard – the Laurette dress, with its combination of a demure cut and bold hue, reminds me of her character, which I strongly identified with at the time. And a beautiful dress deserves a stunning location, so I took Laurette to the Louvre. I will never get tired of living in a city full of former palaces.
