…because waking up at 7 AM feels like waking up at 6, and it’s still dark outside when I want to take my outfit photos…leaving me with 2 options.
1. upload a horrible, pixelated, yellow-tinted picture
or
2. use the flash on my camera and upload a decent-quality, but just strange-looking, photo. (I hate the way flash makes pictures look in general, it’s so unflattering! anyone else agree with me?)
…so I ended up doing both, just to show the difference in photo quality and exactly how frustrating this is.
Anyways, today was the first day in a while that I was “inspired” directly by a runway show – Viktor & Rolf’s most recent collection, which revolved around statues. This outfit is a little bit drapey, sort of structured (the tiers of the skirt, which you can’t see too well but they’re sort of geometric and asymmetrical), greek-goddess inspired (pearls, duh) and the shredded texture of this shirt almost resembles stone up close. Yay, creative thought!
ps. Every time I wear this skirt I almost forget that it’s see-through and that I have to wear shorts underneath, and I’m kind of worried that one day I actually will forget…
