I exactly know what you mean withe the frustration about the pics ... I also do not like ones with flash because they don't look natural but the ones without and only a little natural light don't have enough contrast. Another prob is to take them inside a building, it's much better to take them outside with the natural sunlight (but better not at midday when the sun stands high above you hahaha).

I'm looking forward to spring when I'll finally be able to go out again to take the outfit pics ;-)

i completely agree...my house is really dimly lit for some reason and it's too cold to take photos outside! maybe during the summer though...

Well, if you want to make good photography it's definitely not an easy job haha. Anyway, cute outfit!

lovely outfit!! it is interesting how different the quality is of each photo. the bottom one displays the shredded shirt darker and the top one shows the shredding in more detail.

thank you! i always notice that about my photos too, like if I'm wearing a lace top some of the detail will get lost in a brighter photo...so frustrating :P

…because waking up at 7 AM feels like waking up at 6, and it’s still dark outside when I want to take my outfit photos…leaving me with 2 options.
1. upload a horrible, pixelated, yellow-tinted picture
or
2. use the flash on my camera and upload a decent-quality, but just strange-looking, photo. (I hate the way flash makes pictures look in general, it’s so unflattering! anyone else agree with me?)

…so I ended up doing both, just to show the difference in photo quality and exactly how frustrating this is.

Anyways, today was the first day in a while that I was “inspired” directly by a runway show – Viktor & Rolf’s most recent collection, which revolved around statues. This outfit is a little bit drapey, sort of structured (the tiers of the skirt, which you can’t see too well but they’re sort of geometric and asymmetrical), greek-goddess inspired (pearls, duh) and the shredded texture of this shirt almost resembles stone up close. Yay, creative thought!

ps. Every time I wear this skirt I almost forget that it’s see-through and that I have to wear shorts underneath, and I’m kind of worried that one day I actually will forget…
