This has been one of my favourite looks this spring. I am proud to say the entire outfit is thrifted, oh with the exception of the beaded headband which I purchased at a traditional pow-wow and the bow which I have had for 20 years or so.
Since this Saskatchewan spring has been snowy and cold, I opt for bright colours and dark florals a lot. Sort of a wintery- spring vibe. Hunter green tights and grunge boots keep my fuchsia sweater in check with its 90’s origin and this bow barrette helps me re-live my childhood.
My tip when thrifting, especially at mega huge places, is to scan the isles for the colours and fabrics that you like right away. Chances are, you can make anything work if you like the material. All it takes is a sewing machine to make things fit perfectly :) Save time and don’t even bother with the items that don’t jump out at you.
You don’t want to buy stuff just because it is cheap, if you will never wear it!
