I like to play with different themes and concepts when organizing an outfit and shoot. This shoot, in particular, was inspired by two instragram competitions I’m currently trying to win. The first is a paid round-trip to Marquee Club in Las Vegas, and since my fist-pumping dance days are quickly coming to an end, it was just too tempting to pass up on. Submissions for this contest required a summer concept, but I didn’t want a cliche summer day or afternoon at the beach.
The second competition is for a men’s fashion magazine that required a summer themed photo with a fedora. When I think of a fedora, I think hot Southern summers or vintage Havana, so I thought this would be a great theme for both competitions. To add to the vintage feel, I shot this lookbook in a stylized form.Thank you for reading and wish me luck.
