Leather, lamy, love.
I’ve always wanted a leather jacket, but never allowed myself to buy one. Funny story actually, I was at Forever21 and I found one squeezed in the sale rack all by its lonesome self. I looked at the price tag and it was on sale for $19.99! BUT – it had bronze embellishments (zippers, studs, etc.) when I preferred silver and was a size M. I contemplated for a good five minutes or so, and decided to get it. But there was a strange weight on my shoulders, as if my body had known that I was settling for less. I really wanted a leather jacket! But my heart knew I didn’t want this leather jacket. I decided to bring it up to the register anyway because it was such a good deal – the price rang up, and it was a sign from the don’t-give-up gods.. the jacket was $79.99, and I let a sigh of relief that I had misread the number.
Don’t you love that? Or sometimes hate it? You know, when you pray that they don’t have your size because you really don’t want to pay for it but you really do want it even though you know you don’t necessary need it? (Rambling, inhale, exhale.)
I gladly skipped out of the store, still however bummed at not finding the leather jacket for me.
Two hours later I found the only size 2 leather jacket at H&M. Happily ever after.
This outfit is very popular, you can see variations of it on every page in Chictopia’s Style Gallery ;)! It’s just this whole goodbye-Sandra-Dee rebel look is absolutely timeless in my book.
