When I’m in Singapore and it’s 32 degrees outside and sunny, a slinky thin maxi dress is just the thing to protect against city dust while keeping me nice and cool. This Marni x H&M number utilises two beautiful prints – I was particularly impressed with the front and the back are made different by the simple twist of blocking the prints in front and placing a single print at the back. In the ads by Sofia Coppola prior to the launch, I’d always thought there were two dresses so it was a lovely surprise to find out they were one and the same. I love how timeless the dress is thanks to the abstract aspect of the prints.
I don’t usually wear a designer head to toe, but I admired the styling for the Marni x H&M collection so much that I bought the massive white flower necklace to go with the dress, and I pulled out this yellow Marni bag with the softest leather from my closet. To show the details at the neck off, I pulled my hair into a low bun.
