What an excellent weekend! I spent it out of town, and though the college-going, alcohol-guzzling, headache-inducing town wasn’t that impressive; the convention I attended was everything I hoped for & more. Just what I needed.

Purple! I love purple. It’s my mother’s favorite color, maybe that’s why I’m partial to it. This is a gorgeous vintage dress from my shop, circa 1970s, in a beautiful violet shade. It has the greatest details, white stitching on the scalloped sleeves and the cutest little ruffle down the front. To move it into spring, I paired it with my FAVORITE jacket, a vintage Lord & Taylor wool and cashmere long blazer, my EA purse, and boots. I think it works wonderfully to fight the late-winter chill while still hinting at the wonderful warmth to come. The future is bright, isn’t it?
