The hi-low trend has certainly had its ups and downs (pun intended) but I was really struck by the over-exaggeration of this Turkish top that hits just at waist height in the front and then flows down to my feet in the rear. I felt like a princess as we explored the old town of Istanbul, my train flowing behind me in the cool breeze off the Bosphorus. I didn’t have too many ways to play around with the styling as I was still working out of a limited suitcase, but I like the classic-ness this pairing resulted in — with the crisp, sheer, flowy whites above skinny, dark blue denim. And there’s no walking across cobblestones (or rooftops) without my clompy creepers. All other shoes have been torn to pieces at the soles from walks through old cities. My first stop when I return to the states will have to be a cobbler. And by first stop I mean first after in-n-out, obviously.
